Why The Ear?

Why The Ear?

Our ears are not just for holding headphones and hanging earrings. They are a visual guide that reflects our health and offers insights into the inner workings and potential imbalances within our bodies.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Let’s start with the basics. The nervous system is the body’s main communication network. It is made up of hundreds of individual nerves that transmit electrical and chemical messages between the brain and the body.
These networks of nerves control everything we do, feel, and experience. Nerves in our hands tell us when the stove is hot. Nerves in our muscles alert us to injuries. There are also large nerves that regulate vital processes of the human body. The vagus nerve, for example, extends from the base of the skull to the abdomen, and has a role in regulating multiple systems throughout our body.
Dozens of nerves pass through the ear. The field of Auriculotherapy utilizes a variety of modalities, including ear seeds, to access and stimulate these nerves for therapeutic effects.
